About Susan Richardson

Susan is a legal assistant for our firm. She started with our firm in November 2007 and has since developed the knowledge and expertise in estate planning and elder law necessary to provide the highest quality of customer service to our clients. Her friendly demeanor and superior client relations skills make her a valuable asset. When she meets with clients, they always leave happy and ready to share their experience with family and friends.

Experience

Susan has been in the legal field for more than twenty-five years. Before coming to work at P & E, Susan was a court reporter in the state of Missouri, serving as a freelance reporter, as well as an official court reporter in the First and Second Circuits of the state of Missouri. Susan has hundreds upon hundreds of memories of fascinating jury trials, depositions, and working extensively with legal counsel to bring to her position at the firm.

Education

Susan attended and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, after receiving individual private training as a court reporter from an admired old pro in the field. Susan received her Certified Court Reporter certificate in 1980 from the Missouri Supreme Court, and maintains that.

Personal

Susan moved to Kansas from Missouri in 2002 with her daughter, Hillarie, now a senior at Blue Valley North High School. Susan’s favorite leisure interests are spending time with Hillarie, who will always be her most favorite subject and interest; delving into the greater mysteries of life by reading great books, traveling as often as possible, taking great photos of fabulous subjects, listening to fabulous music, interior design, collecting silver, art and antiques, and going to see memorable movies. Susan is also a fan of the Kansas City Royals baseball team and attends some home games when the Royals are in town. Susan is a new fan of the KU Jayhawks basketball team, and is being persuaded to join the ranks of Kansas Citians who are Kansas City Chiefs fans.

At home, Susan and Hillarie have a black “GoldenDoodle” named Zoëy, and a silver Persian kitty named Tillie, both of whom have completely captured her heart.
