ATTORNEY NAMED AS PRINCIPAL AND MANAGER OF LAW FIRM OFFICE

Firm founder, Larry V. Parman of Parman & Easterday, LLP, has named attorney Jerry E. Shiles as manager of the firm’s Oklahoma City office and a principal of the firm.

Since 1998, following a distinguished twenty-year career in the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General Corps, Shiles has been practicing law in Enid, Oklahoma. From 1995 through 1998 Mr. Shiles served as legal counsel for the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps in Washington, D.C., where he handled complex income tax, estate planning and family law cases for members of the Corps and their families.

During his career, Mr. Shiles has been the recipient of many awards, including the American Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award, the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, and the Legion of Merit from the U.S. Department of Defense. He is licensed to practice in Oklahoma, Nevada, Washington, D.C. and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Upon joining the firm, Shiles will continue to focus his practice on estate planning, elder care, trust administration, probate, and general business transactions. Mr. Shiles believes that “by gaining an understanding of our clients’ lives, loves and their desire to leave a legacy, we help them discover how to effectively plan for control, growth and preservation of their personal and financial assets.
